1. What are Ash’s career highlights?
Despite a late start in golf, Ash’s career highlights began to shine in her second year of collegiate play. Over her final three years, she secured 5 collegiate wins, setting multiple school records along the way. These records include par or better rounds, number of birdies, and the lowest 18-hole, 36-hole, and 54-hole totals. Ash’s exceptional performance earned her the titles of two-time All-American and Conference Player of the Year. She capped off her collegiate career by graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 3.99 GPA.
2. What will Ash’s Journey look like?
After graduating from college in May 2024, Ash plans to dedicate the rest of the year to refining her skills in preparation for a full tour schedule on the Annika Women’s All Pro Tour in 2025 and 2026. In August 2024, she will attend LPGA Q-School with the aim of securing status on either the Epson Tour or the LPGA Tour. Ash intends to leverage the expertise gained from her professional journey to launch a teaching career in the future.
3. How did Ash get started in golf?
Ash began her golfing journey in January 2017 by trying out for her high school golf team, inspired by her father’s passion for the sport. Within a month, she fell in love with the game, spending entire days at the local golf course. Ash chose to leave behind a promising softball career to pursue golf at the collegiate level. After contacting every college with a women’s golf team, she decided on the University of South Carolina – Beaufort. This decision significantly advanced her skills and fueled her aspiration for a professional golf career.
4. What does Ash’s training regimen look like?
A professional golf career demands a dedicated training regimen, and Ash rises to the challenge with the support of three specialized coaches: one for swing, one for fitness, and one for mental strength. Thanks to this expert guidance, Ash maintains a rigorous individual training schedule, averaging 8 hours of practice, 6 days a week. To meet the physical demands of the game, she also trains in the gym 5 days a week.
